Jakarta – BMW Motorrad menunjukkan eksistensinya di Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2015. Salah satu motor yang dijadikan andalan yaitu G 650 GS yang ada di kategori sport adventure. Nantinya motor ini akan head to head dengan Kawasaki Versys di kelasnya.

BMW G 650 GS memiliki mesin 1 silinder, 4-valve DOHC dengan kapasitas murni 652 cc. Power yang mampu dihasilkan yaitu 48 HP di 6.500 rpm dan torsi 60 Nm di 5.000 rpm. Top speed diklaim dapat tembus 170 km/h.

Fitur-fitur yang ada pada motor sport adventure seharga Rp 402.000.000 off the road Jakarta ini antara lain seperti suspensi belakang pre-load dan rebound damping adjustable, rem ABS di roda depan belakang dan lainnya.

Selain itu, motor ini juga memiliki fitur ouput reduction untuk membatasi performa mesin yang keluar. Jika fitur ini diaktifkan, powernya turun menjadi 34 HP di 6.500 rpm dan torsi turun jadi 47 Nm di 4.500 rpm. Top speed-nya juga jadi hanya 145 km/h.
